Symposium 15: New Catalytic Materials
Invitation
The organizers cordially invite you to participate in the
2nd. International Symposium on New Catalytic Materials
to be held in Cancún, Mexico from 16 to 21 August 2009, under the auspices of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT), the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP).
Objective
To highlight the recent achievements in the area of catalysis, promote the exchange of ideas and stimulate recent developments of new catalytic materials. In particular, emphasis will be put on knowledge exchange and experiences on new functional materials from the academic and industrial viewpoints.
Scientific Scope
The main focus of this event is to put together various aspects comprising both fundamental and applied science, including synthesis, characterization and applications of new catalysts for topical areas, for example:

Programme
The symposium will consist of plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations. The organizing committee will also provide the participants and the accompanying persons with social activities.
Publications
Accepted abstracts in the modalities of oral and poster presentations will be published in the Proceedings. The peer-reviewed full-length manuscripts will be published in a special issue of a prestigious scientific Journal (to be confirmed).
Call for abstracts
Participants wishing to attend this symposium are cordially invited to submit a one-page abstract (single space, 12 points font). All abstracts should be written in English and submitted on-line o(webpage) or by e-mail. The deadline for abstract submission is May 30, 2009. On-line submission is available from April, 2009.
Call for Full Manuscript
Inclusion of manuscripts will be conditional upon the manuscripts satisfying careful refereeing and publication standards as decided by the Editor. Authors of papers accepted for publication will be required to assign copyright to Elsevier
