Guidelines for Abstract Submission

This will be the format used in the Program Book and Abstracts CD.

• File Format: Microsoft Word, Abstract must not exceed 300 words.
• Title: Type in capital letters, 12pts, Arial font, bold, centered.
• Author(s): Must be listed immediately below the title using uppercase and lowercase letters in this way: Initials and last name, 10pt, Arial font, justified, the presenting author's name must be underlined.
• Affiliations: Must be listed immediately below the Author(s), including the corresponding postal address and e-mail. Use uppercase and lowercase letters, 10pt, Arial font, justified.
• Text: 12 pts, Arial font, text should be typed single-spaced. However, if the paper includes numerous superscripts or subscripts, 1-1/2 spacing may be used.
• Equations: Each equation must be on a separate line.
• Illustrations: Abstract must not contain tabular material or illustrations of any kind.

Only "Registered Users" can submit abstracts.
To be able to submit an abstract, you are required to be logged / connected into our system, using the username and password provided, or you can use your IMRC 2010 Account.
Once you've logged into our system just select the option "Abstract submission", please follow the instructions and fill in the form.
To recover your user account please contact Webmaster:

New users can get a presenting author account
You will receive an email confirming your user registration including session information.


• The size of the board is 100 cm width x 250 cm height; the suggested poster size is 90 cm width x 120 cm height.
• Poster should be setup between 16:00 and 18:00 hrs on your assigned day.
• The poster sessions start at 18:30. From this time on, posters not pinned up will be considered “No Shows” and their name and number will be taken down.
• The poster sessions ends at 20:30, posters should be removed the same day.


There is a prize for the best student poster of each session. This prize consists of a full-paid trip to MRS-Spring Meeting 2012 in San Francisco, California to present the winning poster.

In order to participate in this award, your poster should be in place at the beginning of the poster session.

Notification of Acceptance

Please note that all submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the symposia's Organizers.

Authors will be notified by the Organizers of the symposia if their abstracts have been accepted for a poster or an oral presentation.
