The Sociedad Mexicana de Materiales (SMM) and the Materials Research Society (MRS) welcome you to the XXVI International Materials Research Congress (IMRC 2017)

The Sociedad Mexicana de Materiales (SMM) will be hosting the XXVI International Materials Research Congress (IMRC 2017) in Cancún, México, August 20-25, 2017. The venues of this event are the luxurious JW and CasaMagna Marriott Hotels.

In this series of annual meetings, the SMM, in partnership with the MRS, offers an exciting multidisciplinary stage to present new directions in materials research and technology, as well as valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with some of the foremost experts in the field.

The IMRC has become a leading conference with about 1,800 attendees from more than 40 countries. We are sure that the IMRC 2017 you will find a wide range of symposium topics of interest to the materiasl research community at large.

The IMRC 2017 will feature 11 tutorials covering a variety of topics to complement the symposium sessions.

To promote postgraduate degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and related areas, the Mexican Society of Materials will organize an exhibition within the IMRC 2017


There will be an exhibit of instrumental products and services in the field of Materials Science and related topics with participation of world renowned companies.
